The 2024 GISD Canned Food Drive begins on November 1st and runs through November

15th. The focus of the drive will be to encourage giving healthy canned/packaged

foods to support our community.

All cans and packaged food items will be picked up by GISD maintenance staff and will

go to donation organizations in the tri-cities.

A few things to note:

● Please focus on donating healthy foods such as canned meats, canned vegetables, soup, rice, and pasta. Avoid high sodium products such as Ramen Noodles, and do not donate expired food, because donation centers have to throw these items out.

● Boxes will be placed in the front of the school.

Campuses with the most cans collected, will be recognized at a future GISD Board meeting with the Evidence of Excellence Award. If we win this award students will receive free dress for 1 month.
